It's been a while. Like a LOOOOOOONG while. ...so long I don't think anyone I know is still on to read this... But oh well! Some updates on what's been going on: --We'll start with the biggest change first...I'M PREGNANT!!!!! With a boy. And we're both healthy and wonderful. Due date is March 5th. --I switched majors! Again! This time it's a pretty significant change though: I'm now studying Art History and Classical Studies to prepare for getting a Master's degree in Art Conservationism. I'm also taking French and Ancient Greek...and I'm getting pretty good at both of them. Hopefully within the next year or so I'll be able to get a certif

I both love and hate oil painting. I love the layering and the vivid colors and the great re-workability of it all... However, I hate how if I get too close to the paint it kind of makes me high and, let me tell you, oils take FOREVER to dry. Forever. Which is a problem if you procrastinate, like me. Oils are the anti-procrastinator and they DO NOT forgive easily if you paint over it with a different color when not dry (I've tried, it screams and throws up on itself). But, I'm learning a lot. I thought it was about time to update my journal. I'm taking a painting class!! With oils!! I'm super excited!! I have absolutely NO IDEA how to use them, anyway, so I'm glad I get to have some formal instruction. Heavens, I have a ton of artwork to upload... With my Illustration class I did this wonderful 24"x32" ink drawing/painting where I tried out using a brush for the shading. I got some wonderful shades, let me tell you, and I really would like to show it off. :D AND I did a photography class!
